Biographical / Historical

June Gamble is a freelance Arts Manager and Consultant and a qualified, supervised and insured Life and Business Coach. June, who has danced since the age of 4, worked as an estate agent before training as an Arts Manager. She has worked with theatre and dance companies in this capacity since 1989. June has successfully run her own business since 1990, supporting people with major life decisions, including career changes, relocation, career development, financial issues and life/work balance.



In 2002 she trained to become a professional Life and Business Coach. She works with small organisations to develop their business plans, management teams and operational systems, specifically focussing on time management, office and appraisal systems, and internal and external communication. Between 1989 and 2005, June was on the Board of Directors (Chair 1989 to 1997) for KAZZUM ARTS PROJECT, a children's theatre company. She was also the first Coordinator of the Association of Dance of the African Diaspora (ADAD) from 1994 to 1997, and a member of the Standing Committee from 1997 to 2000.



Currently, she is a Partner of Grand Visionary Solutions, an Executive Committee member of the Independent Dance Management Network and Director of iDC (Integrated Dance Company) in Plymouth. June is also an Associate Lecturer at Plymouth University and the part time Coordinating Producer for Plymouth Dance.



Past and present consultancy, coaching, facilitation and training clients include; Hofesh Shechter, Laila Diallo, Jane Mason, Lisa May Thomas, Niki McCretton, c-scape, Harriet Macauley, Jeanefer Jean-Charles, IDMN, Swindon Dance, Dance South West, South East Dance, Hampshire Dance, Hampshire County Council, The Actors Centre, East London Dance, The Works, Siobhan Davies Dance, Dance City, Akademi, Dartington at Falmouth University and The Place Artist Development.



Past Dance Management and Consultancy clients within the Black Dance Sector have included ADAD, State of Emergency, Bullies Ballerinas, Les Ballets Africains (National Dance Company of Guinea, West Africa), Badejo Arts, Mashango, Adzido Pan African Dance Ensemble, Robert Hylton Urban Classicism, Menelva Harry and Louise Katerega.
