Brixton Uprisings
This collection gathers texts, photographs, newspaper articles, witness accounts, and ephemera relating to the Brixton uprisings in 1981 and related uprisings in Birmingham, Croxteth and Southall. The collection comprises community newsletters, grass roots newspapers, police reports, liberation and defence campaign literature, press cuttings and extracts from right wing inclined national tabloids and leftist pamphlets.

Indentures of the Gale family and others relating to Jamaican plantations
This collection of indentures are concerned with property in Jamaica originally owned by the Gale family but which descend through marriage into the families of John Fisher and Joseph Chaplin Hankey. They are primarily concerned with plantations in the parish of St Elizabeths, including Luanna Pen, Goldren Grove and the Union estates, but also some apparently unrelated properties such as Rose Hall.
Jacqueline Creft Memorial Collection
The collection comprises of material generated by the New Jewel Movement/People’s Revolutionary Government during the time of the Grenadian revolution (1979-1983). This includes publications, photographs, policy documentation, newspapers and audio material. Alongside this are materials published worldwide about the revolutionary period in Grenada and the subsequent US invasion. The collection has been sorted into two main series’ to reflect this.

It includes a small number of copied documents relating directly to Garvey (GARVEY/1), material celebrating and commemorating Garvey and his anniversaries (GARVEY/2), and posters reproducing images of Garvey (GARVEY/3).
